How do I contact MyOwnStory.com?

How does it work?

1. Go to the Collection of Stories page and pick a story.
2. Once you make a selection, you will be asked to fill in the specificities in order to personalize the story for your child. This should only take a few minutes.
3. Upon completion, you will receive your own customized story with illustrations that you can print for immediate use. Your completed storybook will also be saved your own private, password protected Story Archive and will be available for you to view at any time.

The Stories are appropriate for what age group?

These stories are most effective for children ages 2 to 10. Some stories focus on issues that affect younger children, while others are better suited for older children. We recommend that you preview the stories in our Collection of Stories in order to be able to assess which stories are appropriate for your child. What if I enter incorrect information? You will have an opportunity to check your story for any mistakes before finalizing the story. Please check and re-check the information that you have entered in your personalized children's story during the customization segment of this process During this stage, you can correct any mistakes or make changes to your story. Once your story has been finalized, however, you can no longer make any changes.

Can I order a personalized story for more than one child?

Yes. We keep the cost of our stories as low as possible so that families with multiple children can order customized stories for each child. Life events and changes affect each child differently, so we believe that each child should have their own customized story featuring the events and issues that are most salient to their own life.

Can a story feature more than one child as the main character?

These personalized stories are intended to feature one child, and each story is about that particular child's life. While other children such as siblings and friends can be mentioned in the story, the focus can only be on one child.

How do I redeem my voucher?

1. Click here to log in/register.
2. Please click on the the Collection of Stories tab on the top of the home page to be able to see our collection of stories and to make your selection(s).
3. Click on purchase and customize for any story or stories which you would like to purchase with your voucher.
4. You will be directed to the checkout page, where you will be asked for your billing information. At the bottom of this page is a space for entering school codes, voucher codes, discount and promo codes.
5. Please enter your voucher code here.
6. You will be asked for your billing information, but once the voucher code is entered into the system, you will see that there will be no charges to your card. Please note that the residual value of the voucher will remain until its expiration and that you do not need to use the full value of the voucher in one visit. As such, you can come back and create more stories at a later time.
